Advanced Color Photography Assignments (Continued)

There has been a big lapse in the work that I've been doing for my Advanced Color Photo class. I've been shooting very sporadically for this class and I have been moving through rolls of film very slowly. However I just had a little kick in the ass and got some more work done so that means that there is something for me to show off. I showed these new pictures to my professor (the one who hates everyone's work) and he said that they're "not bad" and a few of them are "interesting". That means a lot coming from him. These are a few pictures that I did for the boring "choose a color" assignment and the not as boring "mixed color assignment". All of these were taken with my Nikon N70 on Kodak Portra NC 160 film rated as 100 ISO. I scanned them on a Imacon scanner and touched them up in Photoshop CS2. Click any image for an enlarged view.

The color I chose to photograph here is blue, although it's not very obvious.

A pretty reflection in a puddle.

Can you guess what color I am photographing here?

Not a great example of mixed light or color temperatures but a cool picture anyway.

This is actually the classroom in which I have Adv. Color Photo. Ironic huh? Notice the blue color cast in the doorway, all because of the flourescent light.

This is a picture of me blowing fire outside my garage at night.

Not only am I happy to have those pictures out of the way, I'm also very happy with the results. Now it's time to move onto my final project for this class. It's one of my own choosing but I'm not going to mention it yet just in case I wimp out and change my mind. However, when I do decide for sure if I'm going to go with this idea, you'll all be the first to know. I know that people are afraid to leave comments or email me feedback, but I'd really appreciate it when I start to post pictures of my next project because I want it to be really good. More to come soon.
